in preparation to finally return to the midwest

like morgan, i too have been counting the days until i get home.
14 days for me.
14 days until i get on a plane and fly from baltimore, to detroit and finally home to the land of barbecued red meat and thrift stores and friends i never see anymore.
before then, though, i have a lot of work to do. on top of finals, on december 10th (which is just 4 days away from now!) i have tons and tons and tons of things to sell at out art market event. i'm selling cards (recipe, post and folded) and perhaps some prints and books if i clean out my drawers in the department soon enough.
if you are in baltimore you should attend wednesday dec 10th through saturday dec 13th from 10am - 6pm. thats 32 hours in which you can purchase some majorly amazing things just in time for the holidays!
with love.

It's after Thanksgiving meaning my favorite time of year: the Christmas Season. I've already started baking thanks to the Eta Sigma Phi bake sale (my geeky ancient languages' honor society). I made ginger cookies and sugar cookies. Um yum. I just sang along with Amy Grant to Silent Night and rolled spicy brown dough in sparkly, white sugar until about midnight. I just got back from KC on Sunday and I saw the first snow of the Christmas season while I was there. It was hard leaving that glorious white world to back here to Memphis. 17 days until I'm home. 17 days until Bridezilla marathons and double ovens with bottomless jars of flour, sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder. 17 days until we no long have to buy wine or hid booze in my attic. Ah glorious. I'm planning on reading a book about Roman history, learning Italian, and memorizing, in chronological order, all the Roman emperors. I will not be distracted by copious amounts of WE TV.
I hung out with Laura, Emily and Diana while Katie was on the East coast eating her deli sliced turkery from her dad. It was nice to see everyone. It is so crazy how much all of us have changed. I can't even explain how we've all changed, but we have. It will be nice when Katie is there over the break. Emily, Laura and I went to the new Power and Light district. Emily suggested going to the place that Katie worked over the summer, but I refused. I mean after your friend works somewhere you never want to eat there again because you're like their mean, I don't support that! We went to Waldo's and had to wait for like 45 minutes. The Power and Light district was swanky though.
I should probaly pay attention to the class I'm not listening to right now.

todays outfit, and a backpack

this is pretty much what i have on today, but add some splashy blue and  yellow floral print to the skirt... yeah, i know the backpack is a pretty chic addition to the outfit.
today i am going straight from a day of work in admissions to catch the train up to d.c.
erika and i are going to the urban up there so i can buy some tapestries for my apartment that is still a huge white void, and so that we can catch up a little bit.
gosh. i was all confident with my outfit this morning on my walk to work, thinking i looked super cute, until i realized that i was wearing a backpack with it, and it sort of ruins the whole shebang.

I'm not drunk.

Morgan is in Memphis. It is raining. Her room is a fire hazard, but very cute. Morgan thinks that the risk is okay, because her room is cute.
Lindsay has a friend named Jeremy. Morgan can not spell Jeremy. Jeremy has a straw.

That is all.
Do not fug yourself.

Eeee I need practice with this whole polyvore thingwhatsitwhatever, mine is not as cute as Katie's are. I think I'll chalk that up to her spending ridic amounts of money on learning about composition and me spending ridics amounts of money to learn a dead language. I want that pitcher though.
I've been lonely in the breadbasket without Katie! I'm moving back to Memphis soon, which means fun decorating times with the new roomies!!

morgan and red shoes

i am so tempted to buy these for morgan as her red shoes for her rush events...
sigh...
but alas, they are a completely hideous take on the platform trend, and so i think i will hold off for a bit...
at least she has really cute red shoes to wear.
oh but i might add, i do love browsing the site i found those shoes on. if you weed through the piles and piles of 'club wear' there are some cute things to be had at very affordable prices.

morgan needs new rainboots, katie needs to get a life

morgan needs new rainboots...
i made yet another polyvore collage to show her cute options.
they are all very affordable and i have links to where to get them all...
also, my votes are for the red with white polka dots or the ones with hearts on them...

okay, or the whales, the daisys or the brown polka dots...

fall clothing... at least polyvore lets me "shop" for free

i love polyvore.
this is an outfit that i think pretty much sums up what my fall wardrobe will be like...

what's funny is that i made a polyvore outfit for morgan's style of fall wardrobe as well, and they are rediculously similar, maybe with the exception that i gave her three little mccain pins, since i know she  loves to rep the republicans...

we both talked about wanting big watches, and we both are known for rocking the extra large bags. yay for accessories!!!
